The Path of Knowledge

About this infographic

The only thing Allah commanded His Prophet ﷺ to ask for more of was knowledge: “My Lord, increase me in knowledge” (Qur’an 20:114). This infographic gathers three reasons to seek knowledge and five practical steps for every seeker.

رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

“My Lord, increase me in knowledge.” — Qur’an 20:114

A path to Jannah

Whoever travels a path seeking knowledge, Allah makes easy for him a path to Paradise. — Sahih Muslim 2699

Raised in ranks

Allah raises those who believe and those given knowledge by degrees. — Qur’an 58:11

A sign of good

When Allah wants good for someone, He gives them understanding of the religion. — Sahih al-Bukhari 71

Five steps for a seeker

1. Purify the intention — learn for Allah’s sake. 2. A daily portion — small, but every day. 3. Learn from a teacher — sit with qualified scholars. 4. Act on it — knowledge grows with practice. 5. Share it — teach what you know.

A moment to reflect

Start small and climb steadily. If you are ready to take the next step, Darul Hikmah’s programs — from Tajweed to the Aalimah course — are a structured place to begin.
