Muftiyah Asma Haroon is a distinguished Islamic scholar and educator, known for her dedication to Qur’anic sciences, Tajwīd and practical Islamic scholarship for women. Born in Dubai and raised in the Middle East, she spent her early years in Dubai before continuing her studies in India.

She completed the Aalimah & Fazilah program, earning her Aalimah Fāḍilah degree in 2009. She completed her Takhassus fil-Iftā (Shahādah in Iftā) in 2010, accomplishing this specialization under the guidance of Mufti Shaukat Sanaullah Qasmi D.B.

Journey in Qur’an, Tajwīd & Qirā’āt

Muftiyah Asma has pursued an exceptional path in the recitation sciences:

  • Completed multiple Tajwīd levels and advanced training.

  • Earned Ijāzah in the Riwayah of Ibn Kathīr and Riwayah of Abu Jaʿfar.

  • Currently completing the Al-Jazariyyah course and pursuing the Ijāzah of Al-Jazariyyah.

  • Continuing studies in additional Qirā’āt, including recitation chains related to Imam Ḥamzah.

  • Completed Al-Qā’idah al-Nūrāniyyah training at Al-Furqan Academy.

  • Completed an Ijāzah course of the entire Qur’an from Mastery Academy (2024) under an Egyptian teacher.

Her love for the Qur’an drives her ongoing study, teaching, and mentoring of students worldwide.

Teachers Who Shaped Her Scholarship

Her scholarship has been shaped by several esteemed teachers, including:

  • Maulana Naziruddin Sabeeli D.B.

  • Mufti Shaukat Sanaullah Qasmi D.B.— under whose guidance she completed her Iftā studies.

  • Mufti Abdullah Qasmi D.B. — from whom she studied Sahih al-Bukhari

  • And many other respected scholars who refined her knowledge of fiqh, hadith, and Qur’anic sciences.

Academic Leadership & Teaching Experience

With 15+ years of teaching experience in various academies, Muftiyah Asma is known for:

  • Clear, structured teaching in Tajwīd, Tafsir, and Fiqh.

  • Nurturing confident female students and training future teachers.

  • Founding Darul Hikmah Islamic Centre in 2020 — a hub for authentic Islamic education for women and families.

Mission & Vision

Her mission is to revive authentic Islamic knowledge among women, empower them with Qur’anic recitation and understanding, and build a generation grounded in ilm, akhlaq, and taqwā. She teaches with sincerity, clarity, and excellence—seeking to make Darul Hikmah a lasting means of guidance for Allah’s pleasure.
